What to expectYour newborn session takes place in my cozy Houston studio, designed with both baby and parents in mind. Each session is baby-led, allowing time for feedings, soothing, and natural transitions. The space is kept fully stocked with everything needed for your session — from wraps and blankets to carefully selected props in neutral tones. As a professional Houston newborn photographer, I’ve photographed hundreds of babies and understand how to safely and gently pose your little one while creating naturally beautiful portraits.
You’ll be guided through every step — from preparing your baby before the session to selecting your final images afterward. Whether you prefer classic, wrapped poses or lifestyle-inspired family portraits, my approach is always calm, patient, and baby-led. My goal is for you to feel relaxed and at ease, knowing your baby is in caring, experienced hands.

When to bookThe best time to schedule your Houston newborn session is during your second trimester, before your baby arrives. This ensures availability around your due date and gives you peace of mind knowing your spot is reserved.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed when your baby is between 7–21 days old, while they’re still sleepy and naturally curl into those sweet poses. However, every baby is different — and I always work at your baby’s pace to ensure a safe, relaxed experience.
If your baby has already arrived, don’t worry! As an experienced Houston newborn photographer, I occasionally have last-minute openings and would be happy to fit you in if possible. Check out the belly to baby package if you’re still needing maternity photos and would like to bundle both sessions!

STEP 1: Let’s Book!
Reach out first to secure your session with a deposit. For newborns, we use your due date. This ensures my availability for you. After baby arrives, we set a final session date/time. All sessions are Mon-Fri in studio only.

STEP 2: Session Day
Before baby is 3 weeks old, you’ll arrive at my studio where everything will be ready for you & baby. Sit back & relax while I guide your baby & your family with poses. At this time, you’ll also have a chance to see and feel product samples.

STEP 3: Gallery Reveal & Ordering
Online proofing galleries are ready 1 week after your session. Here’s you’ll choose your favorite images to be retouched and place your order. You’re also free to add on products like albums, prints or wall art.

STEP 4: Final Delivery
Your final images are retouched and emailed 2-3 weeks after your order is placed. Any products are checked for quality control and then we arrange for pickup or delivery. Trust me - you WON’T regret investing in beautiful and custom heirloom products for your family!

Newborn sessions are typically done when baby is 7-21 days old. This is when newborns tend to sleep deeper allowing for the cute curled up poses. Though older babies can still be photographed, they might be swaddled for the majority of the time if they don’t permit for the same curled up and sleepy poses. Preemie babies are little different and allow a little more flexibility in the timeline.

You can decide between 3 session types. A mini is just baby in swaddled poses. We’d do semi swaddled and fully swaddled poses.
A full session is just baby in all pose variations (in outfit, in props, naked, semi swaddled and swaddled)
A full session with family includes all pose variations of baby AND family photos (each parent, sibling(s), and entire family).

A $100 deposit is required to book any newborn session. I have three collections to choose from including mini wrapped, full session (just baby), full session with family. Collections begin at $450 for 10 digitals.

Of course! You can select a package that includes family photos. I’ll do several variations of your family, each parent with baby, and baby with any siblings. Before your session we will discuss coordinating outfits for family so that everyone looks their best! Mini sessions are for baby only, but you can always add on the family portion for $100.

I will have everything ready for baby including wraps, headbands, bonnets, tiny teddies and newborn outfits that are custom tailored for newborn photography. Outside outfits are not allowed during the session.
If you have a special item you’d like to include like a family heirloom or sentimental item, I’d be happy to incorporate it. Just let me know ahead of time to coordinate styling before your session.

Your session is completely customized to your preferences, so I’ll have everything ready for baby! Before your session, I’ll send over a session prep guide to help you in how best to pack and prepare baby for their session. Extra milk and a pacifier is always recommended.

Congrats! Pricing is the same for multiples. We will do a few shots with each baby individually along with together. Timing may take a little longer, but we always make sure to be safe and get some precious photos!
